There will be times when you cannot make it to a class, when this happens, communicate with the instructor and/or the school who will share how you will make up the time. Each school will share their policy as to when the make-up hours need to be completed by, prior to or after the final exam.
When you miss a class or time, for example 30 minutes or the entire time, majority of the times, when you miss a topic, you will be responsible to read the material covered and make up the missed time. If you missed Session 2 where the topic covered was for example, Real Estate Interests and Forms of Ownership, you can join another session at another time, where the topic covered could be on Financing, what matters is that you covered the time.
HOWEVER, there are two topics, if you missed part or the entire session, you would need to make up the missed time and content. The topics are on AGENCY and CODE OF ETHICS. Agency covers the relationship between the Agent and the Client. The topic of AGENCY produces the majority of the questions on the Maryland Real Estate Law part of the exam. The topic of ETHICS are regulations from the Maryland Real Estate Commission who make sure that we follow the rules.
To make up the time and this content, could be a challenge. You are depending on the school and instructor availability. Strive to be present when the topics are being covered. This will avoid delays on your timeline to get your Real Estate License.
